Does a BDSM contract hold up in court ?

Does a BDSM contract hold up in court ? What if it specifies economic transactions – must they be upheld?

I’m not aware of anywhere in the world where a BDSM contract would stand up in terms of obedience, sexuality or consent to punishment/play/violence.

I can however, imagine a well written BDSM contract might stand on some points if it involved agreements about finances, commercial work or property. Given payment seems to have been involved, I assume it was a contract that involved payment for a service that wasn’t forthcoming – if that service was legal and specific enough to be considered commercial I can see it working.
